Want to make a direct impact in the fight against menstrual inequity and stigma within your community? We’re officially now accepting applications for our volunteer leadership positions for the first half of 2021! We have nine open positions, ranging from social media to policy. These positions will last from January 2021 - June 2021. All of our leadership roles provide opportunities to work alongside menstrual justice fighters, build and flex your skills, give back to your community, and even gain volunteer hours.

The Leadership Roles
Meetings Lead: The Meetings Lead coordinates all Leadership and All Hands meetings, sets up the meeting slides/agenda, writes the meeting notes, and updates the Google Calendar. They should be a very organized person.
Membership + Recruitment Lead: The Membership + Recruitment Lead brainstorms ways to get new members. They also welcome new members into the organization. Additionally, they will coordinate fun team bonding activities every few months (post-COVID).
Finance + Fundraising Lead: The Finance + Fundraising Lead will work with our director to maintain a transparent financial record. They’ll also help with reimbursements and plan out club fundraisers.
Social Media Lead: The Social Media Lead will schedule all of our social media posts on multiple platforms. They will also work with the Blogging Lead in creating and maintaining our content calendar. They should have strong graphic design and writing skills.
Blog Lead: The Blog Lead will manage our website’s blog. This includes writing, editing, and inviting guest bloggers. They’ll work closely with the Social Media Lead on the content calendar. They should have strong writing and editing skills.
State Policy Lead: The State Policy Lead works with local organizations to research laws and set up lobbying meetings. They’ll also organize protests/rallies and help get new menstruation equity bills passed in Washington State. They’ll work closely with our partners Washington for Menstrual Equity as a Representative to their meetings..
Federal Policy Lead: The Federal Policy Lead works with organizations across the country to lobby and mobilize for new federal bills to get passed. They’ll look for partnership opportunities with organizations from other states. They’ll also act as a Representative to Washington for Menstrual Equity.
Local Policy Lead: The Local Policy Lead engages with the city of Seattle and King County to implement a menstrual equity policy. They’ll also act as a Representative to Washington for Menstrual Equity.
Service Lead: The Service Lead plans out product drives and period supplies to shelters, schools, and other organizations within the community. They’ll keep meticulous records of how many products we’ve donated over the year.
Community Events Lead: The Community Events Lead coordinates talks, panels, and other events that destigmatize periods and allows for community conversation. They’ll be responsible for finding guest speakers and educators for some of these events.
